The exceptional quality of Arturo Fuente cigars comes out of four generations of labor-of-love expertise and hand craftsmanship. The Fuente Churchill, with its mild-bodied taste, is an especially good choice for newer cigar smokers. Fuentes range from the smooth Chateau line, which includes the Churchill, to the medium-bodied classic tastes of the Don Carlos Robustos and the Hemingways. The Fuente family of cigars also includes other specialty lines, such as the elite Opus X.
Opus X is one of the most coveted cigars lines in the world! Because they include a unique Dominican-grown wrapper as well as distinctive tobacco flavor combinations, production cannot be rushed, and quantities are usually limited. In fact, by agreement with the Fuente family, only a few Opus X cigars per day may be sold to the same customer!
Blended from six different tobacco sources, Ashton varieties are produced by the Fuente family, and range from a light creamy flavor to the more rich-bodied Aged Maduro. The lighter Ashton flavors are a good choice for new cigar aficianados. The Prime Minister, in particular, has been highly rated in the mild-bodied class. The Maduro is enjoyed by more experienced smokers.
Mild but complex flavors make the Avo a very pleasant cigar. It's smoke has been described as having a velvety or slightly nutty aroma, making it a good medium-bodied cigar for any time of day. The more recently introduced XO line offers a blend of six tobaccos for a richer smoke. Avo was founded by Avo Uvezian, an accomplished jazz musician who moved to Puerto Rico in the 1980s, opened his own bar and restaurant, and commissioned his own cigar brand from Dominican connoisseurs.
Another cigar producer with a notably high reputation, CAO has a flair for producing special series and limited-production lines, such as the Gold Series and the l"Anniversaire. The C.A.O. Madura is a veryfull-bodied cigar with a particularly rich flavor, suited for the experienced cigar smoker.
Produced in the Dominican Republic, Cohiba enjoys a superior reputation among people who know fine cigars. (At the time Columbus arrived, D.R. natives were smoking cured tobacco leaves that they called cohiba) The Cohiba yellow-band, grown in the Montecristo region, have a distinctive combination of spiciness and nuttiness. Cohibas range from medium-to-full-bodied, and are enjoyed by experienced smokers.
A blend of fine Dominican tobaccos, the Griffin's cigar provides a satisfyingly smooth, medium-strong smoke. The Griffin Robusto has a slightly creamy, nutty flavor and very pleasant aroma.
Definitely one of the most popular cigars in the U.S. today, Macanudo is known for its overall mellow quality, with hints of chocolate and cedar. The Petit Corona, in particular, has been rated highly for taste, appearance, quality, and value. With its mild-bodied taste and pleasant aroma, Macanudos provide a great smoking experience for people just beginning to appreciate fine cigars. They are also a favorite of many long-time smokers.
Rich and distinctive in flavor, the Montecristo is strong but not overpowering. Both the Montecristo Afrique Lemosho (a mild-bodied selection) and the Peruvian Fer de Lance (heavy-bodied) have been rated highly for taste, appearance, quality, and value. Overall, the taste and aroma of a Montecristo make it an excellent choice for social pipe smoking.

Punch is a very popular brand. Both the Gran Cru Monarca and the London Club, in particular, have been rated highly for taste, appearance, quality, and value. The Punch Grand Cru series is made from vintage tobaccos aged from 3-5 years. As a heavy-bodied type of cigar, Punch has an overall strong, spicy taste that is very satisfying for the experienced cigar smoker.
Many Romeo y Julieta cigars provide medium-to-full bodied taste and aroma with a combination of sweetness and spiciness. They may be more suited for experienced smokers, although the Churchill is a popular mild-bodied choice for beginning smokers. The Reserve Maduro No. 4, a medium-bodied cigar, has been rated highly for taste, appearance, quality, and value. Overall, Romeo y Julieta products have had a continual brand loyalty among many cigar smokers.
